Nyon is a single mother of an 8 year old daughter. Nyon and her daughter both have cerebral palsy and before connecting with Genevieve's Fair Trade Village she struggled to support her daughter.
Nyon lives and works at Full Belly Farm. She helps to grow vegetables at the farm and is making a small income from the produce she harvests by selling it to locals at the farm gate. This is a great accomplishment in her journey to empowerment and she lives in hope that she can provide for her daughter in the future. Her dream is to have her own business selling food and vegetables at a market. Her success in growing, harvesting and selling produce at the farm has motivated Nyon to explore more livelihood opportunities and she has recently learnt to make woven bracelets by watching other people perform this task. GFTV is pleased to be able to sell her products to help her along her journey in becoming self-sustaining. Vertical Divider

Helping others
Nyon is very happy to be able to share her bracelet making skills with others. In the photos below you can see her teaching Adelaide and Raphaelle (two volunteers from France) how to knot a stone into a woven necklace.
